My goal when buying products is to make sure they are non-toxic, on the cheaper side, have a minimal ingredient list, and are safe to either consume or use on the body. Oil diffuser Perfect substitute for candles. A lot of candles emit chemicals that are endocrine disruptors. Oil diffusers use essential oils, which can actually improve your mood, sleep, and stress. I frequently use lavender, peppermint, and eucalyptus oils.
Magnesium Powder I always drink magnesium powder before bed. It relaxes your muscles and your mind. I get the deepest sleep when I drink a magnesium complex. The powder I linked is great because it not only tastes really good, but it is pink!
Creatine I take 5 grams of creatine everyday! Creatine is very important for muscle recovery, mental health, and improving mental cognition.
Cocoa Powder (no heavy metals) I love adding cocoa powder to protein pancakes, but a lot of chocolate has heavy metals in it. This brand has been tested by third parties and is proven to have none to little heavy metal traces.
Ashwagandha Supplement Ashwagandha is a great supplement for those that deal with pre-bedtime anxiety. It relaxes the mind so that you are calm and ready to sleep!
Larabars Larabars are a great snack for on-the-go days. They have minimal ingredients, no artificial flavors, and only whole foods.
Distilled White Vinegar & Essential Oils I make my own all-purpose spray for cleaning surfaces. I use equal parts distilled white vinegar and drops of peppermint essential oils.
8. Brita
I switched from drinking tap water to filtered water a couple months ago and the taste is great! A lot of cities put fluoride in tap water, which has some controversial health warnings. Drinking filtered water does eliminate that risk of consuming fluoride if that is a concern for you.
